Furnace NewsAuditions Now Open!Posted on AUG-31-2009 Greeting to all musicians in search of a home - come try out for Furnace. We are looking for the right person to join the band and see what magic we can make happen. We are seeking a person more than an "instrument" and are looking for anyone who can contribute to the effort in a very positive manner and who brings a well rounded, and talented, approach to music and someone that can integrate well with us personality-wise. With that being said, we have open spots for a lead-type player (guitar/keyboard/accordian/etc) as well as a space for a melodic/lead player (trumpet/trombone/kazoo/etc), but again, it is more about the person and what they bring to the table than it is about the instrument that they play. Posted on AUG-21-2009 We have successfully laid down the basic tracks for a 5 song demo (maybe also featuring a surprise live track or 2 depending on what we can find in the archives before we go to production). We'd like to thank Mike and his awesomeness for hooking us up at his fine recording studio and providing us with good feedback and expert advise. Over the course of the next couple of weeks we will be laying down the remaining tracks and looking to press copies so we can send folks home with them and also use the demo to keep pushing Furnace into new venues. Ready to Play! Posted on MAY-15-2009 Yes, we are ready to play shows whenever and pretty much whereever. Furnace is able to play an entire evening of entertainment at clubs, parties, events, etc. We have material to play an evening by ourselves or to split shows with other local acts.
